I went first to the Wampus Papers and then to the UTF Arsenal. Through the East, what calls to me is not the aesthetic of rebellion. It is the return of consequence. The extractors train us to live inside short clocks: quarterly returns, news cycles, engagement spikes, emergency after emergency. They call that reality. But a mother-line thinks differently. It asks what a decision will do to the next body, the next child, the next habitat, the next generation’s capacity to belong. It understands that creation is not a resource to burn through; it is a relationship that must remain capable of creating.

That is why Rematriarchy is the word.

Not matriarchy, because the common definition of that word still pulls people toward the familiar image of rule by women: a throne with different occupants. Not egalitarianism, because equality alone does not tell us where we return when hierarchy, extraction, and alienation have made everyone forget how to care. The re- is not cosmetic. It tells us that forward movement requires remembering what the dominant story buried: that dependence is not failure; nurture is not weakness; intelligence does not begin at the point of control; and life is not improved by severing it from the conditions that sustain it. It points toward an order in which care is structural, kinship matters, and social ties are regenerated rather than exploited. I will ask, every time a system offers a solution: Does this make more room for life to flourish? Does it keep faith with the beings who must live downstream from this choice?

Rematriarchy is not the feminine taking the throne; it is the throne losing its claim to be the source.
