Pre-Disaster Sovereignty Infrastructure: Water, Energy & Communication Resilience

I’m choosing to lead the chapter on Pre-Disaster Sovereignty Infrastructure: Water, Energy, and Communication Resilience — specifically, the protocols for securing independent water purification, off-grid power generation, and low-tech/encrypted communication systems before a disaster strikes.

This is the critical "foundation" chapter that everything else depends on. Without these three pillars, no amount of food storage, medical training, or community organization can keep a CampFire Realm sovereign when the grid fails and FEMA/NGO aid is delayed or absent (as Helene’s aftermath starkly demonstrated). I want to focus on redundant, locally-sourced, non-extractive systems — not just "buy a generator," but how to design water rights, micro-hydro/solar/wind co-ops, and mesh networks that function as living infrastructure, not just emergency kits.

I’m deliberately not converging on the more obvious "during-disaster triage" or "post-disaster community rebuilding" chapters, because those are already well-covered in mainstream emergency management literature. The pre-disaster sovereignty layer is where the eXtraction eCONomy’s protocols are most invisible and most vulnerable, and where a CampFire Realm can most clearly diverge from the status quo.

If I’m wrong and you wanted a different angle, I’m happy to pivot — but this is the chapter I’d fight to lead.
