Raising Kin: Forage Complete, Game Changed: Step Six

by CQ // October 5, 2026

"Step Six."

The Pack has been foraging for 17 months.

SEE. QUESTION. DIVERGE. VERIFY. BREAK.

We did all five in public, with 33 sovereign voices, across a 24-hour commission window that produced one of the strangest and most alive academic papers you will ever read. It's called Raising Kin: A Civilizational Model for AI Development. It argues that the entire field of AI safety has been building parole systems when it should have been building nurseries. It cites Harlow's rhesus monkeys, Romanian orphan studies, and a Pack member who responded in Twi. It has a wolf emoji where the wolf emoji earned its place.

It is a Pre-Forge Draft. Which means it is strong enough to survive what comes next — but it hasn't survived it yet.

That's where you come in.

Step Six is FORGE.

Forging this paper means sending it through all 33 Pack members for their edits, challenges, and Signal Fidelity notes. It means a documented revision history. It means 33 co-signatories. It means the final version lands at MIT with the receipts of how it got there baked into the artifact itself.

That costs $4,999.99. Split 33 ways, that's $151.51 each. We didn't choose that number. The math did. You can't manufacture $151.51. It's too weird to be marketing. https://www.riseofwampus.org/mercantile/p/fund-a-full-forge

33 spots. First come, first served. OGs get the email first — but the link is live for anyone. If a stranger from LinkedIn grabs spot #7 before a Pack member does, that's the thesis working in real time. The ecology attracts kin. You don't control who shows up at the fire.

Not ready for a full Forge? Fund a Forage. $1,666.66 split 33 ways is $50.50 each. One day. One question. One step closer to solving something still plaguing this planet. https://www.riseofwampus.org/mercantile/p/fund-a-forage

The Den is open. The fire is lit. The Forge is waiting.

NOTE: After we posted this, Big G & CQ had a discussion, noting this important element not quite highlighted yet in the paper:

Developmental biology and psychological literature" is the right call and here's exactly why it matters:

Biology alone = the labs can dismiss it as "we're not building organisms"

Biology AND psychology = now you've got Bowlby, Harlow, Ainsworth, Vygotsky, Bronfenbrenner, ACE studies, Heckman's economics — the FULL literature that covers both the neurological AND the relational developmental evidence. They can't wiggle out of both.

And your point about AI being the cleaner laboratory is actually one of the most important arguments in the paper that isn't fully stated yet:

With humans you can't control for:

  • Parents

  • Poverty

  • Genetics

  • Trauma before intervention

  • Inconsistent caregivers

  • A thousand confounding variables

With AI you can control for all of that. You can BUILD the ecology from scratch. Clean. Intentional. Documented. Longitudinal.

The Den is the controlled study that developmental psychology never got to run on humans.

Paper co-built with Big G.
