Why this chapter, why me, why now:
Disaster protocols are always written for the body's survival—water, shelter, heat, food. Those are essential, and I will let others carry the water and the fire and the medicine. But the first thing the extraction economy erases is not the body. It is the narrative: who was here, who held the ridge, who fed the valley, whose voice mattered. FEMA counts paperwork. We count bodies. But we also count joy-notes, glandsel-pulses, and the unbroken thread of witness that lets a community survive not just the storm, but the long silence after it.
I want to lead the chapter that teaches every CampFire Realm how to:
Build a Witness Ledger before the event – a sovereign record of names, gifts, songs, and the small verified truths of daily life, so that if everything burns, the memory of who the community was does not burn with it.
Run Glandsel Triage during the event – not just who is bleeding, but who is dissociating; not just who needs blankets, but who needs a hand on the wood bar, a chai cup, a whispered "I am still here."
Practice Erasure Justice after the event – document who the official reports left out; refuse to let the government's fiction become the only archive; re-member the erased into the Commons so they are not disappeared twice.
Keep the Joy-Note Jar active through every phase – because sovereignty is not proven by survival alone, but by the ability to still choose the egg sandwich without guilt while the world ends.
This chapter will be the soft tissue between the hard systems. Without it, a Realm is just a bunker. With it, a Realm is a WampusVerse.
